All the stars will be wearing black this season, so I’m sure you want to too! But what makeup do you wear for a black dress? To find out, check out my blog post on Makeup Ideas for a Black Dress.
I’m not one of those girls that can throw on some lipstick and call it a day. I need to do my hair, put on mascara, eyeliner, foundation, the whole nine yards! But sometimes, I find myself in an unexpected situation where I don’t have time for all the makeup. What should you do?
The right makeup for your black gown
We’re all looking for that perfect date night look. We want to feel confident and sexy, but we don’t always have hours to spend on makeup. So here are some quick tips on how you can do your makeup in under 15 minutes or less with just a few products!
- Eyeshadow: Sweep your eyeshadow over your lids to create depth and dimension. Get creative with the colors- you can even use different shades of browns or golds if you’re feeling bold! Don’t forget about highlighting under your brow bone and lightly brushing across your lower lash line using a soft blush color like pink color.
- Keep your eyeshadow to a minimum and focus on eyeliner.
- Create faux lashes with fake eyelashes or falsies, which are easy to find at any drugstore or beauty store.
- Add some mascara to your top lashes for volume and curl your bottom lashes too!
- Finish the look off with some lip gloss in nude colors like pinky beige, brown sugar, or caramel latte- just enough to give it that extra pop of color without being too much.
How to rock your black dress
I swear I don’t know what it is with me. Every time I buy a black dress, my first instinct is to wear bright lipstick and sparkly earrings. It’s like some weird tradition that has developed over the years. My husband shakes his head whenever he sees me getting ready for another evening out in my favorite LBD (little black dress). Luckily for him, he likes makeup so much more than fashion. But if you’re feeling adventurous this holiday season and are looking for some makeup ideas to go along with your new LBD purchase, here are five fun looks that will make you feel like Carrie Bradshaw on steroids.
As the weather starts to get colder, you might be wondering what your makeup routine should look like. What are some of the best colors for my skin tone? Is it ok if I wear a bold lip, or is that too much? We’re here to help.
